The idea of going Electric is a lifestyle change. You will have some questions around how it will impact you and your lifstyle.

We want to make you aware of some of the key and common questions we receive here at MINI Park Lane about the MINI Countryman Plug-in Hybrid.

Take a look through some common questions to see how MINI is making understanding hybrids simple.

Q. How does charging on the move work?

A. Your battery is charged when the petrol engine is in use. Energy from braking and coasting also goes back into the battery.

Q. What's the difference between a plug-in hybrid and a hybrid car?

A. Both combine a combustion engine and electric motor, but a non plug-in hybrid can only charge the battery from the engine or motion of the car and braking.

Q. What happens if my battery runs low?

Switch to Save Battery mode and carry on your journey using the petrol engine. Simply plug back in when you get home.

Q. What is the electric range?

The MINI Countryman Plug-in Hybrid drives up to 12 miles in electric mode without any local CO2 emissions. The switch between eDrive and petrol drive is smooth and fully automated with no interruptions - just the way you like it.

Q. Does this compromise performance?

Not at all, the MINI Countryman Plug-in Hybrid takes only 6.8 seconds to hit 62 mph. Sustainable driving just got really exciting.
